An Introduction
Hi, my name is Amanda and I have a hobby addiction. By that I mean I like to pick up new hobbies periodically, throw myself all into them for a while, spend way too much money on them, get bored and start a new one. I often go back to hobbies I’ve moved on from. Sometimes repeatedly. And while I may be a hobby addict, I have no plans to recover any time soon.
A lot of my hobbies involve crafting. Which is great during a global pandemic, because I can contentedly sit on my couch watching another MET in HD opera or streaming the complete 15 seasons of Supernatural for the umpteenth time while creating something fun and/or functional. I’m getting pretty good at social distancing (though I occasionally get a bit stir crazy), and I’m using my hobbies to get me through this uncertain time of stay at home orders and quarantines.
So far in my life, I’ve picked up crocheting, scrapbooking, sewing, playing the violin, power lifting, curling, make up, board games, and probably a dozen other hobbies that I’m forgetting about. But the crafting things, those I like to share. So this blog is going to be about things like crocheting and sewing. Things I create for fun, for others, for function, or hopefully some day to sell.
