I’m making a set of amigurumi succulents for a friend as part of a quarantine care package. She’s also a crocheter, but I don’t think she’s made any amigurumi yet. I’m getting fairly good at them (see the Amigurumi Chemistry Set post), and they are adorable!
I have very dry skin. Dry to the point that I was diagnosed with very mild dermatitis at one point, though I only needed a soothing off-the-shelf cream to clear it up. But my feet, my elbows, and with all the extra hand-washing from the coronavirus now my hands are all horribly dry. I’ve also been doing a lot of crocheting, which can dry out my hands, too, but also makes it so I don’t want to use a cream-based lotion because it feels strange when I crochet.
I recently started making Amigurumi, small crocheted stuffed toys. Years ago, I saw a set of amigurumi chemistry paraphernalia on Pinterest somewhere. I was a chemist at the time, and thought it was adorable and wanted the set for my desk at work.
